For complete details regarding registration,

Registration for the Boys and Girls Rec programs is now closed.   From August 1-15, you may submit a request to be registered through our online registration program (Click here), but you will be placed on a waiting list, and will not be placed with a team unless there are enough late registrants to form a new, there is a coach for that new team, and there is sufficient room in the schedule to add a new team.     If you are added, your credit card will be charged the normal fee of $65 plus an additional late fee of $25.
If you wish to register for Superstars, that program will accept all late applications until September 30, 2008, although you will still be charged a late fee.

  • will remain $65 per player for the Fall Season
  • late registrations (see below) will be charged an additional $25 late fee
  • the Registration Period will close on July 31, 2008, at 11:59 pm
  • from August 1 - August 15, 2008, any late registrations will be placed on a waiting list until we can determine whether we have sufficient coaches to form a new team. Please bear in mind - late registrations are NOT guaranteed placement on a team for the Fall season. If placed on a team, late registrations will also be charged the $25 late fee in addition to the $65 regular fee
  • no registrations will be considered after August 15, 2008 - please do NOT submit a request to the Club by email after that date
  • Superstars are the only exception to the above deadlines - late registrations will be accepted for Superstars through September 30, 2008
  • we are setting hard roster size limits on teams this season, so playing time will not be reduced by having too many players, which is one reason we cannot keep registration open indefinitely and add new players to additional teams. It may seem like just one more player to each person trying to register late, but each addition takes playing time away from 10-12 other players who all registered on time, and that is unfair to those players. This situation does not apply to the Superstars, however, since they do not play formal games, and are thus not affected by late additions - which is why we can accept late registrations longer in that program.
  • if you have any questions, including what division your child would be in, please first review the online FAQ, located on the left side of this page
  • the Rec program is moving from t-shirts to actual name-brand soccer jerseys for the Fall (at no additional cost to you), and we hope you will all be happy with the result.   Samples will be available for viewing on Awards Day
  • with 2010 World Cup qualifiers under way this Fall, the Rec program may decide to move away from player-picked team names (which often don’t get decided until weeks into the season, and sometimes cause more than a few problems) and assign teams the names of various countries, matched to the color of the jerseys.    Alternately, we may use club affiliations instead of nations.  As an incentive for coaches to register early, selection of team colors/names will proceed in order of registration time - so if you really want your favorite color or team, register early to secure your chance to claim it. We hope coaches will use this alignment with teams to foster more interest in the game of soccer in the world beyond Dideriksen Park.
  • you cannot register for the Travel program unless you have specifically been invited to a Travel Team (usually after open tryouts in the Spring).   Travel registration will be password-protected so you cannot inadvertently do so
  • please double-check your data entry carefully - each season we encounter numerous delays placing children on correct teams due to their ages or genders being entered incorrectly
  • although we are maintaining a “special request” box on the registration form, no requests to be with a specific coach or player are guarantied (other than with respect to siblings and children of coaches).     The first priority of building teams is to make them as balanced as possible so players step onto the field knowing they have a chance to compete in the game, regardless of whether they actually win or not. Losing a tough game may be disheartening, but losing by 5 goals every game quickly turns kids off the sport. Beyond that, no player is entitled to be with the coach they think is the best coach - if we were to agree that one coach is better than the rest, than you must see that we cannot honor 12 requests for that coach and turn down competing requests for that same coach. We will, however, do our best to honor the following type of requests: (a) to be separated from a particular player or coach due to personality conflicts, (b) to not be placed on a team practicing certain nights because of pre-existing conflicts - you MUST let us know ahead of time if you cannot make a specific night, as we cannot move players around afterwards, (c) requests to be on the same team as a family member or close relation, (d) requests to be with a particular player (no more than one) due to car-pooling, shared baby-sitting, etc., or (e) similar special circumstances.
