Norway: the team

The Norway Women’s National Team was one of the first European teams to qualify last year for this summer's World Cup.  They'll be spending this Spring preparing for their first round matches against Equitorial Guinea, Brazil and Australia - Brazil should be the slight favorite to win the group.

Currently, the national team has scheduled the following tune-up matches:

  • March 3, 2011 - Finland
  • March 4, 2011 - US
  • March 7, 2011 - Japan
  • June 16, 2011 - Germany
  • June 20, 2011 - US

Past Honors for Norway:

  • Winners of the 1995 World Cup
  • Winners of the 2000 Olympics
  • Winners of the 1987 and 1993 European Championship
