For Fall 2011, East Brunswick Soccer Club is pleased to partner with New York Red Bulls (NYRB’s) for Rec training. NYRB’s strive to create a fun, challenging learning environment where players have the opportunity to play. NYRB’s adopt a systematic process to Player Development, where players follow a path focused on technique and skill development, and as competency increases, tactical elements are introduced.
The NYRB’s training curriculum is driven by both age and ability. Having a framework for staged abilities allows NYRB’s to narrow their focus and allow players to develop at their own pace. The activities in the the curriculum are defined in the following three levels:
Beginner (ages 4-6): Non-directive activities focusing on fundamentals and ball familiarity.
Developmental (ages 7-14): Activities focusing on basic individual techniques and game awareness.
Competitive (ages 7-18): Technical and tactical activities focusing on correct application and understanding.
Team training starts Saturday, September 17th (Superstars & U7’s) and continues Monday, September 19th (U8’s), September 20th (U7-U15’s), Wednesday, September 21st (U7-U15’s) and Thursday, September 22nd (U7-U15’s).
