The expectations have been clearly set. Gary Taffet, Head Coach and Director of Soccer Operations for the EB Dynamo has stated that he expects the team to "compete to win this flight". On Sunday, the boys responded by delivering a 3-0 shutout over Princeton.
The Dynamo displayed good passing, defense, and field vision in their victory. This is encouraging as last season it took a few games until they started meshing this well. However, the team needs to be careful not to get overconfident about the victory. It’s a long season and it will get tougher.
Jason scored on a penalty kick and then again on a nice assist by Andrew. Amani scored on an opportunistic rebound to seal the game. The defense was solid as usual as the Ryans, Matts, Brandon, and John made sure the ball stayed on the opponents side of the field. Benny, Connor, and Gabriel put the pressure on the offensive side. Chewy stayed ready for any shots coming his way. Princeton did not come out strong but first games are funny so the Dynamo should be prepared when they visit Princeton later this season.
Next up - Flemington, who is the only team other than us remaining in our flight from last season. If you don’t remember, we lost to them 1-0 at home and then lost 3-2 on a late direct penalty kick on their field. It’s time for some "Dynamo Revenge"!!!
