The weather was tenuous but the Dynamo was solid as they took home the championship trophy from the Monroe Tournament.

 In the first game, the team played a very tough game defensively, as they pitched yet another shutout. Jason scored a goal in each half while Stelly had a nice assist. The win put them in the finals against a tougher North Brunswick team.

Against North Brunswick, the team started to show some real passing skills. It was impressive to watch as they set up goal after goal. In the first half, Jason scored on an assist by Andrew, while Pat scored the next two goals on assists by Matt P and Jason. In the second half, the team’s defense got to play offense and showed their versatility. Matt T scored quickly in the half, making it 4-0. This was followed by a goal by the opponent. The last goal was scored by Brandon on an Amani assist and the game ended with a convincing 5-1 championship victory.

While the team came close to a tournament championship last season, this was the team’s first tourney win. Kudos to the Dynamo.

It was a great way to start the weekend, but it was just an appetizer for the hungry Dynamaniacs. The best was yet to come!!!
