We weren't supposed to ride a roller coaster until we got to Hershey, but we did this weekend. The boys looked like a well-oiled machine on Saturday as they prevailed 4-1.
The defense and goalkeeping were stellar. Pat had 2 goals and Amani had 2 goals and 2 assists. All the boys worked hard and played well.
Sunday was a different story. Taking their undefeated record to Princeton, the boys soon found that sometimes heat and fatigue can cost them a game. They went down 2-0 early but were able to stabilize the situation outscoring the opponent 2-1 for the remainder of the game. Pat scored two goals, one on an assist by Amani and the other on a nice penalty kick. Our defensive stalwarts, John, Brandon, Benny, Ryan F, Matt P and Chewy came together and played a tough 2nd half. Stelly, Connor, Gabriel, Andrew, Jason, and Sahil all ran very hard in the heat and helped neutralize the opponent.
It's hard to come back from an early 2-0 deficit and it's also hard to stay undefeated for a whole season. So I'm sure the boys will be excited to go out and start winning again. They have four important games to go and they look very capable of taking 1st place.
Next up - Scrimmage vs. Holmdel Friday and Game vs. Flemington on Sunday. Remember, we tied Flemington on their field earlier in the season. Game is at home - Let's Go Dynamo!!!
