EBSC Night at Sky Blue FC

EBSC Night at Sky Blue Sunday April 11th was a huge success and a great time was had by all that attended.  Sky Blue FC started off their defense of the WPS Cup by winning their season opening match 1-0.  The game winning goal was scored in the 6th minute by Tasha Kai and assisted by none other than East Brunswick’s own Heather O’Reilly!

Our club was well represented as we filled over 200 seats with EBSC players and families.

The day kicked off with a pre game scrimmage between the club’s U10 girls travel teams, Revolution and Ignite as well as a scrimmage between the U11 Twisters and the U12 Dynamite.

Pregame festivities also included several EBSC teams as the rally tunnel was filled with both rec and travel players to cheer on the defending WPS Champions.  Sky Blue and Chicago Red Stars players were escorted onto the field by Revolution and the GU9 Storm and team banners were marched onto the field by Ignite.

During the game, the U13 Spirit surrounded the field in their role as ball girls.  During half time, EBSC Storm and U9 Rockets entertained the crowd with another fun to watch scrimmage.

The evening ended with a special EBSC meet and greet with Heather O’Reilly where players could take pictures and get autographs with the 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist.

EBSC is a proud supporter of Sky Blue FC and Women’s Professional Soccer.
